What is a Buyer?
A buyer can be a non-vessel carrier operator (NVOC), beneficial cargo owner (BCO) or companies involved in some form of a freight forwarding business.
Since PangJang Freight Marketplace is designed for port-to-port ocean freight contracts, the Buyer is advised to make sure it has the capability to execute the export and import operations in relation to the shipment of concern before committing to payment.
What is a Request? And what is a Deal?
A Request is an order placed by the Buyer for the required services accompanied with a price named by the Buyer. Upon creating a Request, it will be listed on the marketplace. Once a Request is matched by a carrier and then paid for, the Request will become a Deal.
What is a Carrier?
A Carrier can be an ocean liner or a non-vessel carrier operator (NVOC). It is the party with whom the Buyer would enter in a freight contract once a deal is paid for on this platform.
Fees & Charges
It is free to create Requests on PangJang Freight Marketplace. Moreover, there is no limitation on the number of Requests that a Buyer can create.
PangJang Freight Marketplace will only charge the Buyer a Platform Transaction Fee of 3% on the Matched Price.
In the event that minimum payment (US$50/TEU) had to kick in due to the Matched Price being lower than the required threshold the 3% will be applied to the Minimum Payment Amount.
